ResponsibilitiesResponsible for setting department goals in accordance with CEO's visionWorking manager that handles personnel issues and will be responsible for designing trailersSets team goals to motivate the employees to exceed company and customer expectationsSet priority schedule and deadlines for department projects, as completion of designs affect sales and production directlyWork with all departments to develop project plans that will improve plant efficiency and performanceMust be willing to work on tasks/projects with little direction and complete said tasks iniaccordance with the company's overall goals in a timely mannerMust be a liaison between engineering and production employees, promoting company goals and problem solvingWill be expected to think creatively and come up with prompt solutions without interrupting, delaying, or causing other unwanted events for other individuals or departmentsUtilize market data and current trends to improve existing products and develop new ones in order to assist customers in their hauling needsAnalyze ways to cuts costs and reduce labor with efficient designs and fixtures/tooling aidsSkills and QualificationsMinimum of a Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineeringProfessional Engineering License preferredPrevious experience in a manufacturing plant requiredProject management and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a team based settingAble to develop and implement strategic plansOutstanding verbal and interpersonal communicationStrong problem solving and analytical skillsHighly motivated self-starter with the ability to drive resultsAbility to multi-taskMust be able to work within budget constraintsMust have excellent communication skills, including the ability to relate, persuade, lead, negotiate and express self clearly and precisely when speaking and writing
