Business Process Management unites the strengths of four category-leading companies to address the complexities of today’s healthcare system. We design, develop and implement integrated, patient-centered solutions for sustained improvements in performance and profitability, working collaboratively across a spectrum of customers that encompasses hospitals, health systems, physician practice groups and payers.

Position Summary

Responsible for directing and coordinating the revenue cycle operations and service delivery for designated wholly offshore projects. This position will also serve as a liaison for blended service delivery teams providing support, training and guidance as needed to Physician BPM project leads in South Dakota and India service centers. This position is responsible for meeting and exceeding client and project goals, initiating and implementing optimization efforts, overseeing supervisors, team leads, and patient account representatives. This position will maintain client relationships at the servicing level and will monitor compliance with state & federal laws and guidelines. Position requires the ability to effectively lead teams in both local and remote settings, professionally represent the company in a way that builds confidence, trust and respect within the organization and with clients.

Essential Job Functions

  • Monitor and manage day to day operational activities for designated projects.

  • Develops and implements new procedures to improve the quality and quantity of work processed.

  • Resolve complex billing issues, escalations and client inquiries, as needed.

  • Supervises, trains, orients and evaluates performance over assigned personnel.

  • Manages designated projects within the established project staffing and resource requirements.

  • Monitors daily operating activity of designated projects and clients and makes necessary adjustments in work assignments.

  • Establish and maintain professional, effective working relationship with client personnel and key stakeholders

  • Consistently identifies opportunities develop optimization initiatives and operational improvements across blended and wholly offshore service delivery teams.

  • Support new project implementation for blended and offshore service delivery teams including developing job aids.

  • Maintains knowledge of and complies with established policies and procedures including government, insurance and third-party payor regulations.

  • Maintains confidentiality regarding patients accounts status.

  • Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.

  • Ensures policies are communicated and administered consistently.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to process patients and third-party billing inquiries and respond with poise and efficiency.

  • Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors.

  • Ability to conceptualize work flow, develop plans, and implement appropriate actions.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Facilitate new project implementation

  • Provide reports and statistical information for management and clients, as required

  • Compile month end data for Navigant

  • Verify and monitor attendance and time-off requests

  • Ensure employee compliance with Navigant policies and procedures

  • Promote teamwork and a positive work environment

  • Travel to other Navigant locations and client sites, as needed

Qualifications (include Education/Certification)

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • CPC or CPB certification required

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of five years medical business office experience or a healthcare business process management outsourcing provider with at least two years of supervisory or management experience.

Other Requirements

  • Knowledge of business management and basic accounting principles to direct billing operations.

  • Knowledge of computer accounting programs, spreadsheets and applications.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, coding and office procedures.

  • Knowledge of third-party and insurance company operating procedures, regulations and billing requirements and government reimbursement programs.

  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, patients, and client personnel.

  • Frequently communicates with clients and coworkers and must be able to share information effectively

  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

  • Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently

  • Flexibility and responsiveness in managing multiple projects in sometimes high-pressure situations simultaneously

  • Able to travel via airplane with minimal assistance to client sites across the US and potentially internationally

  • Usually remains stationary for the majority of the day

  • Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data
