We offer a complete benefits package, paid time off, paid holidays and birthday holiday, great team members, and more!Submit an application today to get started!Areas of AccountabilityAll areas of accountability to be delivered in a manner that aligns with the values and business strategy of Farmers Union Industries.Will specialize on one of the following machines and cross-train on others as needed:RetortLoader/UnloaderBlenderPalletizerDepalFiller/SeamerLabelerDouglas/Case PackerTipper TieChubs BlenderEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork safely and comply with company and regulatory safety/environmental policies, practices and proceduresOperate all facility equipment based on machine-specific SOPsPerform quality control tests on finished product and make adjustments to equipment to meet product standardsMonitor equipment and document manufacturing process; adjust the flow of production to maintain production standardsPerform basic operator troubleshooting and communicate any accidents, threats, or downtime to shift supervisorMaintain clean work environment to ensure safety and product qualityComplete any necessary documents or paperwork timelyAssist other production and maintenance personnel as neededSituations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description. Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal work load.QualificationsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferredPrevious manufacturing/machine operation experience a plusForklift certified or ability to become forklift trained, preferredKnowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement toolsHigh level of attention to detail and surroundingsProficient in handling and completing paperworkAbility to understand and operate basic computer systemsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basisAbility to stand, walk, bend, and climb, frequentlyAbility to handle hot and cold conditions (must dress according to weather) and be aware of any wet floors or other hazardsAbility to work day/evening/night shifts and/or extra hours, as needed
